mayor_panel3a

A panel featuring every elected Mayor of Denver since 1983 – from Mayor/Secretary Federico Peña to current sitting Mayor Michael Hancock – will discuss how Denver transformed during their tenures, creating the fabric of the great city we know today and the lessons it provides for urban growth in the future.

September 30, 2015

Denver, Colo. – The Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) – the only organization that defines, teaches and promotes best practices in design-build – will wrap up their most popular conference of the year with a first-ever panel featuring every elected Mayor of Denver, Colorado, discussing the role of design-build and the built environment in the city’s remarkable growth over the past 30 years.

Moderated by Bill Mosher – Senior Managing Director at Trammel Crow Co. and a community leader who has experienced firsthand the terms of all the mayors and their project legacies – the event promises to be a unique look into the role of city executives in fostering city development. Although a featured highlight of the DBIA Design-Build Conference & Expo, this event is supported by a coalition of industry associations that advocate for best practices in the procurement of design and construction services (see below). This coalition of associations works collaboratively with the Colorado State Architect to advocate for best practices in the industry. The Panel of Mayors will be attended by the expected 2,000 conference attendees as part of the conference program. In addition, the general public is invited to register for and attend this event only for just $45. Additional details on how to attend can be found online here.

We’re thrilled to hear from some of the most progressive city executives in the country on how this method helped change Denver, making it one of the most beautiful, culturally diverse and thriving cities in our nation.”

The Design-Build Conference & Expo is the largest gathering of the year for the design-build market and the only event focused exclusively on design-build. Nearly 2,000 key players and decision-makers from the architectural, engineering, construction and acquisition communities will take part in the conference educational programs and networking events – all geared towards teaching them how to save time, save money, and increase the quality of our nation’s construction projects.
